As these currents flow up and down, they have an impact on the wind, precipitation, temperature and even the salt in the air. The heating and cooling of the water may cause storms to be created over various areas. Strong winds are created over all oceans due to the change in ocean waters. These winds carry on from the oceans to over the land. Depending on the salinity of the wind, how far inland the wind carries and the moisture in contains will affect the weather in those areas.
