.The most important difference between veins and arteries is that veins carry oxygenated blood while arteries carry oxygenated blood.Veins have valves and have thin walls.

Veins have valves that prevent backflow of blood, a feature that arteries do not possess. These valves are especially important in the legs and arms where blood must flow against gravity. This difference is crucial for efficient circulation in the body.
