How do you know [tex]\frac{11}{33}[/tex] is in simplest form?

it is not the simplest form. the simplest form would be 1/3. this is because with such a fraction as 11/33, you have a common factor with them, which is 11. reduce the fraction until there are no common multiples for the numerator and demonimator.
