In a parallelogram all opposite sides of the given figure are parallel and equal to each other. A parallelogram could be a square and a rectangle and a rhombus also!. Diagonals should be equal or not, it doesn't matters.
Whereas a rhombus has all sides equal and opposite sides are parallel to each other but diagonals are not equal.

A rhombus is a type of parallelogram.

The main difference between a parallelogram and a rhombus is that a parallelogram can have adjacent sides of different lengths, while a rhombus has all four sides of equal length. This characteristic gives the rhombus a unique shape compared to the more flexible configuration of a parallelogram.
