Why were the Greek gods so important to the Greeks?

Greek gods were very important to the greeks. They used to worship the gods and were the pioneers of their beleifs. They stood for their religion and mythology. These gods are like the pillars of their religion and beleifs. Greeks also imitiated their gods and acquired knowledge and wisdom.

They belived that the gods and goddesses built the world and help in the evolution of man. They help man kind to hunt farm and gave them knowledge.
