The ratios are, thus, equivalent.

If two ratios have the same value when simplified , theyre called 'equivalent ratios'
Eg: when we simplify 4/6 and 8/12 , we get 2/3 in both cases. ;

When two ratios simplify to the same value, they are called equivalent ratios. For example, 1:2 and 2:4 are equivalent because they represent the same relationship when simplified. Equivalent ratios can be checked using cross-multiplication.
