The Unexpected Encounter
One cloudy evening, as the sun began to set in the small town of Maplewood, Lisa was riding her bicycle home from school. The streets were quiet, and the only sound was the rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze.
Suddenly, a car hit the road divider and skidded to a stop directly in front of her. Lisa swerved quickly to avoid the wreck, and her heart pounded in her chest as she narrowly missed the scene. She stopped her bicycle and looked back at the car.
A man stumbled out, clutching his forehead. He appeared disoriented but not seriously hurt. Lisa, concerned yet cautious, approached him.
"Sir, are you okay?" she asked, stepping closer.
"I think so," the man replied, rubbing his head. "I must have lost control for a moment."
Lisa noticed a small dog in the back seat, barking anxiously. She realized the man needed assistance. Without hesitation, Lisa called for an ambulance and then offered the man a seat on the sidewalk while they waited.
As they sat, the man explained he was new to town and was on his way to pick up his daughter from ballet class. Grateful for Lisa's help, he promised to pick her up from school the next day and thank her properly.
The ambulance soon arrived, and after a brief check, they confirmed the man was fine. He thanked Lisa repeatedly as she waved goodbye, feeling relieved and glad that she could help someone in need.
Moral of the Story:
