Natural selection is a biological process where individuals better adapted to their environment survive and reproduce more successfully. This results in beneficial traits becoming more common in the next generation, ultimately leading to evolution over time. Charles Darwin is most associated with this concept, which illustrates how species adapt and change in response to their environments.
