Since v=d/t We can change the times from minutes to hours so that the answers will be in mph (but it isn't necessary) Hectors speed=8/1.42=5.6mph Marios speed=6/0.92=6.5mph Therefore mario has the greater average speed. Hope this helps :-)

To find out who is faster, we calculated Hector's average speed as approximately 0.0941 miles per minute and Mario's as approximately 0.1091 miles per minute. Therefore, Mario has the faster average speed. In conclusion, Mario runs faster than Hector.
