Rearrange the formula \(\frac{x^2}{6} = w - y\) to make \(x\) the subject.

Answer (3)

Well you multiply it by 6 so it moves side.
Then square root is so it is just x by it side.
SO the answer is...
x = square root 6(w-y)

6 x 2  = w − y x 2 = 6 ( w − y ) x = 6 ( w − y )  ∨ x = − 6 ( w − y )

To make x the subject of the equation 6 x 2  = w − y , first multiply by 6 to obtain x 2 = 6 ( w − y ) . Then take the square root of both sides, resulting in x = ± 6 ( w − y )  . This indicates that x can be positive or negative depending on the values of w and y .
