What is \( 24 \frac{2}{3} - \frac{5}{6} \)?

Asked by jquinn009

Answer (2)

first you want to have the same factor so 24 4/6 - 5/6 there you go now multiply 24 times 6 which is 144. then add 144 add to 4 which is 148 so 148/6 -5/6 which is now 143/6 and then simplify so it 23 5/6

To solve 24 3 2 − 6 5 , convert the mixed number to an improper fraction, find a common denominator, and perform the subtraction. The answer is 23 6 5 or 6 143 .
