Using [tex]\pi[/tex] (3.14 or \(\frac{22}{7}\)), calculate the circumference of the top of the stool, given that the radius (half of the top of the stool) measures 21 cm.

Hi Kaeruno,
The radius of the stool is 21 cm. To find the circumference, multiply this by 2 pi, since multiplying by 2 gives you the diameter and multiplying that by pi give the circumference.
2pi * 21cm
= pi * 2 * 21cm
= pi * 42cm
= (22/7) * 42cm
= 924/7 cm
= 132 cm.
The circumference is 132 cm.

The circumference of the top of the stool, with a radius of 21 cm, can be calculated using the formula C = 2 π r . The calculated circumference is approximately 131.88 cm if π is taken as 3.14, and exactly 132 cm if π is 7 22 .
