Many of our cities, such like in northern half of New England have been having unemployment rates below the national average. Technology says more robots leading to less jobs for humans. Furthermore, many cities didn't experience the extremes of boom and bust in residential real estate that plagued some cities elsewhere in the country.
Industrial cities transitioning to high-technology industries face challenges like job displacement due to automation, skill gaps among workers, urban decay, economic polarization, the need for infrastructure adaptation, and environmental concerns. Addressing these issues is essential for a successful transition to a tech-driven economy.
