The outcome of the French and Indian War was crucial as it led to territorial expansion for the American colonists, but also resulted in increased British control through taxation and regulation. This change fostered unity among the colonists, heightened resentment towards Britain, and set the stage for the American Revolution. The new challenges from both British governance and Native American resistance significantly influenced the future of the colonies.
