How did mesopotamia's geography help civilization to develop in the area

Asked by jbiondoballard

Mesopotamia's geography helped it develop because Mesopotamia was located near the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. These rivers and the climate of the area helped to create an incredibly fertile region that developed agriculturally quickly and allowed Mesopotamian society to prosper there.

Mesopotamia's geography, marked by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, created fertile lands that facilitated agriculture and trade. The development of irrigation systems allowed for improved farming, which in turn supported larger populations and the rise of cities. This enabled the establishment of centralized authorities that managed resources and trade.
