How can you use "ordinance" in a sentence?

Well it depends on what meaning do you want to use for ordinance one of them is a decree or an order and the other one is a religious ritual. So for definition 1 it would be "The President issue an ordinance" and for the second definition it would be " the priest preformed a ordinance on the boy making him into an man"

'Ordinance' can refer to a local law or a religious ceremony. For example, it can be used in a sentence like, 'The city council passed an ordinance that required safety regulations.' It is important to know the context to use the word appropriately.
